My Salvation Testimony

I thought sharing my testimony would be a good way to start things off!

I made a profession of faith when I was 5. The years passed by, and I had doubts here and there like most people do. But I just reminded myself of my profession of faith and kinda shrugged it off. I can't remember if there was a certain message that made me think about whether or not I was saved, but one message stood out to me. I believe it was an evangelist that was preaching and he asked the question: If you stood before a judge for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you? Honestly, I didn't think there was. Not only that, I struggled a lot with jealousy, envy and bitterness for a few people. I struggled with my salvation a little longer. Then me and I believe my siblings sand the song Is Your All On The Altar for church. The phrase: You can only be blessed, and have peace and sweet rest, if your all on the altar is laid. I remember that hit me pretty hard. I struggled a little longer until one day, I couldn't take it anymore. On Wednesday, October 12th, 2016, after church in our 15 passenger van in a Walmart parking lot, I gave up. I surrendered my life to the Lord and he saved me! All those wicked feelings I struggled with went away! I was able to make friends and live peaceably with those I couldn't before! Christ completely changed me! On November 6th, I was baptized! Praise the Lord, it's going on 5 years since I've been born again!

What is your testimony? I would love to hear it!

Love in Christ,

Ruthie
