1. Take Time To Rest

 Genesis 1-3 

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.     And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.   Genesis 2:2-3 

God himself, who never gets tired, took the time to rest when his work is finished. Not only did he rest, but he also blessed it!  Do we make sure to take some time to rest in the midst of our busy schedules? Do we spend some quiet time with God every day to get strength from him for our day? Do we make sure to get the proper amount of sleep each night to have the strength and energy we need to do whatever it is God has for us?

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
