5. Don’t Be Afraid To Add Some Flavor In Your Life

Job 6-9

Can that which is unsavoury be eaten without salt? or is there any taste in the white of an egg? Job 6:6

Rules, regulations, commands, convictions, standards, laws...it never seems to end. Do this, don’t do that. These things are not bad! They’re good, and if properly set in place are very beneficial for you! But, sometimes we are so focused on doing everything right, that we become boring. Unsavoury. Without flavor. We forget that in the command to reach others with the gospel, that every person is unique and needs to hear it presented differently. We have hard set faces and are focused on delivering the absolute truth, cut and dry, and expect everyone to know what we’re talking about. But we often just confuse people or push them away. Most don’t understand the Bible. We need to smile, love, and genuinely care for those around us! Tell a joke, invite people over for supper, play games, have fun, weave Bible stories and verses and testimonies of what God has done in your life, in your interactions with people! Draw people in to hear the truth. Don’t shove! Spice things up a little and see what a difference it will make!
