8. Be Careful What You Wish For

 Job 17-20

Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book! That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rocks for every! Job 19:23-24

God granted what job wanted. We don’t know if Job ever knew it or regretted it, but it’s forever preserved in God’s word, and we can learn from it. In times of frustration or discontentment, we might start saying things such as "I wish I had this or didn’t have this. Or I wish this would change or I could be done with this but ultimately, we don’t get that choice. What if every time we said, “I wish” God granted it? Would we be better off because of it? Would we regret it? Are we careful about what we ask for?
