38. Give Willingly

Exodus 25-27 

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,     Speak unto the children of Israel, that they may bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.   Exodus 25:1-2 

God had given Moses instructions for building the tabernacle and everything in it but then told Moses to collect offerings of the people for the supplies needed to build everything. But He said to collect the offering "of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart". God wants us to give to further the work of His house. But He wants us to give willingly. He will not force us, but it is something He asks of us. Do you give willingly all that the Lord asks you to give? Whether it be money, time, resources, yourself. God wants His children to work together and give sacrificially so that His work may be furthered. What are you willing to give to God?

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
