42. God Can Use Anything

Exodus 36-38

And he made the laver of brass, and the foot of it of brass, of the lookingglasses of the women assembling, which assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.   Exodus 38:8

God used what we think of today as a mirror to make one of the pieces of furniture of the tabernacle! God doesn't expect you to give what you don't have. He does ask you to give whatever it is you have and let Him figure out how to use it. God can do more with what you have than you ever could. If God can use a mirror to make furniture, He can use whatever it is you have to accomplish His will and work! Are you willing to give to God what He asks of you and let Him handle how He's going to use what you give Him?

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
