65. Take Your Responsibilities Seriously
Numbers 26-27
And Moses spake unto the LORD, saying, Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of
all flesh, set a man over the congregation,
Which may go out before them, and which may lead them out, and which may
bring them in; that the congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no
shepherd. Numbers 27:15-17
Moses wasn't allowed to enter into the promised land because he disobeyed God. But before he died, he asked God to pick a replacement to lead the children of Israel. When he was no longer able to carry on his responsibility, he made sure it was taken care of by someone else. When you've been given a responsibility, do you take it seriously? If you need to be gone during a time that would conflict with your responsibility, do you make sure it's still taken care of? Are you faithful to fulfill your responsibilities? If God calls you to do something else, do you make sure that there's someone else to take your place or your responsibility so nothing gets left undone? You need to make sure you follow through with what you are given to do whether you’re there to do it, or not.
