67. Encourage Others To Follow God’s Will For Their Life
Numbers 31-32
And wherefore discourage ye the heart of the children of
Israel from going over into the land which the LORD hath given them? Numbers 32:7
The children of Gad and Reuben wanted to build on their land
and not go over Jordan to fight with the rest of the children of Israel for
their inheritance. Moses rebuked them and reminded them that they were
discouraging their brethren just like the spies that spied out the promise land
when they gave an evil report. After Moses was done, they asked to build their
cities and such for their children and flocks and then go and fight with the
rest of their brethren. We are to be encouraging our brothers and sisters in
Christ. Are your words and actions doing that? Or are you causing
discouragement in those around you? Will you choose to follow the Lord and be a
good example? Or will you leave others questioning and discouraged about God
and discourage them from following God's will for their lives?
