80. There Are No Excuses For Ignorance

Deuteronomy 30-31

For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.     It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it and do it?     Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?     But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.   Deuteronomy 30:11-14

God made it clear that there has never been an excuse to not know God's word. Even back then when there was little to none written, He said that it was very nigh them and in their mouth and heart that they may do it. Today we have even less excuse as we have the entire written word of God readily and easily available! How well do you know the word of God? Do you obey what you know? Do you seek to know more, even if it brings conviction? Do you seek to draw closer to God by allowing Him to speak to you through His word? God's word brings conviction but it also brings great comfort in times of sorrow and answers when you have questions. All the answers to all of life's questions are in the Bible! Every thing you do should be backed up with the Bible and if you don't have the answers, it's your own fault. The Bible is there for you to study as much and for however long you choose. Will you choose to learn God's word and to live it?
