85. With God’s Help, There Is Nothing That Can Stop You From Accomplishing God’s Will

Joshua 12-15

Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said.   Joshua 14:12

Caleb was eighty five when he made this request. It is rare for an eighty five year old man to go to war and claim land for themselves. In fact, most eighty five year olds can't do much unless they've kept themselves in shape. But Caleb claimed God's promises and trusted God for the strength to accomplish what God had given him to do! How many times do you rely on your own strength and then fail with what God has given you to do? How many times do you make excuses for why you can't do something? Do you let your fear get in the way? What about your insecurities? Do problems discourage you away from doing God's will? Or will you rely on God's strength, knowing He will be with you, and do everything that God asks of you knowing that God will protect you and take care of anything or anyone that will try and stop you from accomplishing God's will?

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
