108. Make God Your Longing And Desire

Psalm 17,35,54,63

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;     To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.   Psalm 63:1-2

David had such a desire and a longing for God that he was willing to do anything to see God's power and glory as he had experienced in times past. Do you have any desire for the Lord? How great is your desire? Would you be willing to seek Him early? To sacrifice pleasures just to know God more and draw closer to Him? To know and to love God should be your life's goal. You can never be too close to God. Where do your desires lie? If they are not for Christ, then they need to be changed. You should have such a consuming passion for God and the things of God that everything else in life comes second. With seeking God with everything comes the ability to experience His power and glory and an intimate relationship with Him that can compare to nothing else!
