119. Keep Going For God

1 Chronicles 7-10

And when all the men of Israel that were in the valley saw that they fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, then they forsook their cities, and fled: and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.   1 Chronicles 10:7

When the going gets tough, and those that you look up to are gone, what do you do? Will you run away and give place for the enemy to move into your life? The further away you run from what God wants you to do, the more you open yourself up to the devil and the things he wants you to do. Will you stick with what is right, even when you have to do it alone? Will you stand your ground and not let the devil sneak in? Sometimes, the devil just doesn't want you to do what's right, or to not be completely invested in what God wants you to do. Will you take up the torch and continue to live for God no matter if you have your leaders to follow or you become the leader?

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
