123. Stand In The Breach

Psalm 106-107

Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.   Psalm 106:23

Moses stood between God and the children of Israel and convinced God to put away His wrath and not destroy the children of Israel. So many times we as humans have the mindset that if they have it coming to them, they deserve it. And sometimes even wish God would get revenge and punish someone. Do you care about others like you should? Are you as close with God as you should be? If there are people you care about that have done wrong and are going through hard times, do you care enough to intercede on their behalf? Are you close enough to God that He would hear you and grant your request? Will you stand in the breach and pray for others? Do you care enough to go before God for those around you?

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
