149. Keep Your Focus On The Lord And He Will Take Care Of You

1 Kings 1-2, Psalm 37,71,94

Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.     Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.     Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.     And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.     Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.   Psalm 37:3-7

Do you want a successful, peaceful life with all your needs met, the desires of your heart given to you, and constant direction? It's all available to you if you will do a few things. God promises that you will have a place to live and food to eat if you trust Him and do good. Have you become dependent on God? Are you doing good to those around you when you get the chance? He promises to give you the desires of your heart if you delight in Him. Sometimes in the process of delighting in the Lord, He changes our desires and then gives them to us, but we get them just the same. God will show you the way you ought to go and bring to pass the path you must walk if you will commit it to Him and trust in Him. If you will keep your focus on God, He will make your righteousness and judgment known and seen. You ought not to proclaim your own glory as you will often think of yourself higher than you should. You also can have a peaceful life by choosing to rest in and waiting patiently for the Lord, and not worrying about those who are doing wrong. God will take care of everything, and will take care of you if you choose to keep your eyes on Him!

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them.
