150. Submit To God’s Correction And Quickly Obey His Word

Psalm 119

Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.     Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.     Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellers.     I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.     I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.              Psalm 119:9,18,24,59-60

God's word is the answer for everything. For all of life's problems. Have you allowed the world to creep into your life? Are there bad thoughts, worldly songs, ungodly life choices that seem to plague you? The only way to cleanse yourself is by obeying God's word. How do you know what God is trying to tell you through His word? By asking Him to show you what His word says. If you ask God to show you what He wants you to see, the Holy Spirit will interpret what God is saying to you through His word. What is your attitude to what God shows you? Do you delight in His word? Are you hesitant to know what He wants you to see because you don't want to deal with your sin? Once you know what it is God wants you to do, what is your response? Do you think about where you’re going and if it is in accordance with God's word? When God shows you the error of my ways, you need to turn to God's word, and quickly, without hesitation, choose to follow and obey God's commandments, not your own will and desires.

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you?
