153. God Always Satisfies With More Than You Need

 Song of Solomon 1-8

He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.     Song of Solomon 2:4

God has always provided for the needs of His children above and beyond what can be imagined. When you need food He will provide a banquet. Both physical and spiritual food. When you go to His word hungry to know what He wants for you, or needing help and answers, He will fill you to overflowing and you can leave satisfied with so much more than you need. If you need help in trouble, you not only will get answers, but also peace and comfort and assurance of God's presence with you always. He’ll always take care of you far better than you can imagine and it is because of His love for you! He loves and has great affection for you and thus takes care of you. Will you return His love? Will you accept His help and do His will out of your love for Him?

So many people turn to money, jobs, and anything they can to become prosperous. But they also have a different definition of what prospering is. What do you think of as being prosperous? Is being prosperous having plenty of money? Or having lots of things? Is it in having a lot of friends or being held in high esteem by those around you? Luke 22, John 13 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:   But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.   Luke 22:31-32 As with Peter, so Satan desires to distract and destroy you so that you will be useless for God and eventually deny Him. The temptation is sometimes very great to deny Christ in order to avoid mocking or ridicule, or persecution of any kind. Or just not to be thought of as weird or strange.
