162. Be A Godly Leader

1 Kings 5-6, 2 Chronicles 2-3

And the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying,     Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father:      And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and I will not forsake my people Israel.   1 Kings 6:11-13

When in a position of authority, your actions affect not only you but also those that are in your care. Your actions can have a negative or a positive affect. If you do what's wrong, others watching you may use it as an excuse to do what's wrong in their life. But God may choose to bless someone else's life by you choosing to follow God and do what's right. Whether you like it or not, there is always someone watching you. Will you follow the Lord and obey His commandments and His will for your life? Will you lead a godly life and leave a godly example for others to follow? If others were to copy your life, would it bring honor and glory to God? Would there be more people following Christ or the world? God will bless you and those around you if you follow Him. Will you choose to do what's right and be a good example for those watching you?
