164. Have A Perfect Heart With God

1 Kings 8, 2 Chronicles 5

The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us:     That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers.     Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.   1 Kings 8:57-58, 61

Do you want the Lord to be with you to draw you to Himself and teach you the way in which you should walk? It is a comfort to know that you will always have the Lord with you. But will you allow Him to work in your life and show you what it is He wants you to do? Once you know what is right, do you obey? Is your heart perfect with the Lord your God? God has given you His word to read and study and learn about his ways, commandments, statutes, and judgments and He will always be with you to lead and to guide you in the way you should walk and will help you to obey Him. It's not always easy, but with God it's always possible.

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you?
