167. Serving God Should Be A Pleasure

1 Kings 9, 2 Chronicles 8

And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished building of the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all Solomon's desire which he was pleased to do,   1 Kings 9:1

When Solomon was done it said that He finished all his desire which he was pleased to do. When you’re doing something for the Lord, what is your attitude? Do you do it happily? Is it your pleasure to do what God wants you to? Do you obey willingly and cheerfully? When God gives you instruction is your response, yes sir and then do your Saviors bidding? Are you surrendered to do whatever it is He asks of you? Sometimes God asks you to yield your thinking, surrender your attitude and do what's right even when you've been wronged. Sometimes He asks you to trust Him through a trial knowing that you will come out on the other side for the better. Sometimes He asks you to do a task or to change your ways. Do you love Him so much that you consider it a pleasure to serve your King?

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
