179. Never Underestimate God

1 Kings 20-21

And the servants of the king of Syria said unto him, Their gods are gods of the hills; therefore they were stronger than we; but let us fight against them in the plain, and surely we shall be stronger than they.     And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, The LORD is God of the hills, but he is not the God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.   1 Kings 20:23,28

The Syrians assumed they had an easy victory over the Israelites because they believed that God was only God of the hills. They obviously didn't know Him very well. Because of that, God sent a man of God to tell the king of Israel that they would have the victory. Are there things in your life that you think God can't do? Do you have a false assumption or view of God that is limiting your faith in Him? God owns everything, is everything, created everything, and can do anything. There is no problem too big, or too small, or too weird, or difficult, or complicated, that God can't handle. He loves you and wants to help you get the victory in all areas of your life if you will yield to Him. Do you underestimate God? Or do you follow Him in faith?
