182. Do Unto Others As You’d Have Them Do Unto You

Obadiah 1

For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.   Obadiah 1:15

If everything you did to others happened to you, how would you feel? What would people say about you, or do to you? God sees everything you do including how you treat others. If others treat you poorly, you should examine your own life and actions toward others. Are you doing to them as you would want them to do to you? Even if it means loving unconditionally when you've been wronged? Serving those who least deserve it? Giving to those who can't give back to you? Christ loved and served others without reserve no matter who they were or what they did or said about Him. Sometimes loving others means speaking the truth in love even if it's hard. But Christ never once got revenge or was mean to those who mistreated Him. Will you choose to love others like Christ did? When you show love and mercy, kindness and forgiveness to everyone around you, you will receive the same. Even if not from others, from Christ. Jesus loves you this you know, do others know you love them?

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
