199. Stay Your Mind On Christ

Isaiah 23-27

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.     With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.   Isaiah 26:3,9

Do you have perfect peace? If not, that means your mind is not stayed on Christ. If you trust Christ, you will keep your mind stayed on Him and He will not just give you peace, He will keep you in perfect peace! If you’re going to keep your mind stayed on Him like you should, you need to be thinking about Him and meditating on His word all the time, every day. Isaiah says that his soul desired Him in the night and with his spirit he sought Him early. Can you say that about your soul and spirit? Do you desire the Lord in the night and seek Him early in the morning? If you’re longing for and seeking the Lord like you should and your mind is stayed on Him and you trust Him like you should, Christ will give you perfect peace and will work in and through you so that others may see Him in you. If you’re obeying and demonstrating His judgments, or law, then others will learn of his righteousness. Will you do my part so that Christ can show himself to the world through you?

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life? True repentance?
