209. Be Still And Know That He Is God

2 Kings 19, Psalm 46,80,135

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.   Psalm 46:10

Are you stressed or in a hurry to see God work in the world around you? Do you get frustrated with the wickedness that goes on seemingly without punishment or without God noticing? Do you tell God what He should do and when? God will accomplish His will, in His time. You need to be patient and focus on what it is God wants you to do in your own life instead of trying to fix the world around you. This verse says to be still and to know that He is God. If you don't acknowledge that God is the God in your life and take the time to be still and get to know Him, how can you tell others about Him? How can you share about someone that you don't know? How can you convince others to surrender their life in salvation to someone you won't submit to in obedience? It is when you focus on your own life and walk with God that He can be best exalted among the heathen and in the earth.

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them.
