211. God’s Ways And Thoughts Are Higher Than Yours

Isaiah 54-58

Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:     Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.     For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.     For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.           Isaiah 55:6-9   

Do you think you know best? Do you try to forge your own paths and do what you think is best for your life? The only place you can go to know where to go or what to do next is the Lord. There will be a time when He can no longer be sought so you best do it while you have the opportunity. Is there anything in your life that you need to get right? Are you on the wrong path? Do you struggle with your thought life? If you go to the Lord, and confess your sin, He will have mercy and forgive you and your fellowship can be restored with Him! When you are right with God, and you’re seeking Him, you can know what His ways and His thoughts are for you and your life. Even though you might think you know what's best for you, God knows best and His thoughts and ways are higher than yours. Will you seek the Lord for direction in your life?

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you?
