217. Stay On The Straight And Narrow Path

2 Kings 22-23, 2 Chronicles 34-35

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the ways of David his father, and declined neither to the right hand, nor to the left.     For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father: and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem form the high places, and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images.   2 Chronicles 34:2-3

Josiah was only eight years old when he became king. The Bible says that He did that which was right in the sight of the Lord...at eight years old! How many kids can that be said of?! It also says that he didn't decline to the right or the left. He was following God just as he should be. At only sixteen years old, he began to seek after God and at twenty years old, he began to get rid of all the sin in the land. Josiah left a good example of what can be done for God at any age as God leads. Can you say that when you follow God, you don't get off the track on one side or another? Do you follow God exactly how you’re supposed to? What have you allowed God to use you to do? There is nothing you can't do with God's help.
