220. Walk In The Old Paths

Jeremiah 4-6

Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.     Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your soul. But they said, We will not walk therein.                   Jeremiah 6:15-16

Does sin no longer bother you? Are you so insensitive that you no longer blush at what is wrong in God's eyes? If you remain unashamed you will eventually become just like those who sin and will start doing the same things as they do and when you stand before the Lord, you then will be ashamed. You are to seek the old paths and follow those in order to find rest for your soul. How do you find the old paths? All you have to do is read and study God's word and He will make it clear what you are to do. Will you do what it takes to find rest for your soul or will you do what you want know and be ashamed when you meet the Lord?

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you?
