232. Trust God For Your Daily Provision

Habakkuk 1-3

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:     Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.     The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.   Habakkuk 3:17-19

If there was no food, and no means of making money, would you still rejoice in the Lord? Will you trust Him enough that the first thing out of your lips would be praise to Him? God will take care of you even through the hardest of times. Will you thank and praise Him for all He is to you and trust Him to provide for your needs? If you would do it then, what about now? Will you rejoice in your Savior? Will you praise Him and trust Him to provide for your daily needs? That's how it ought to be.

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
