237. Confess Your Sins To Others

Lamentations 1-2

The LORD is righteous; for I have rebelled against his commandment: hear, I pray you, all people, and behold my sorrow: my virgins and my young men are gone into captivity.   Lamentations 1:18

Are you willing to humble yourself and share with those around you your faults so that they may see the goodness of God? Or that they may learn from your mistakes and avoid making the same mistakes? James says that we should confess our faults to one other so we can be healed and others can pray for us. Will you be willing to suffer some humiliation so that others can pray for you and God can bring help and healing into your life? God is willing to give you victory, and to help others avoid the same mistakes. Are you willing to allow God to work in your life to accomplish His will?

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
