239. Be Willing To Do The Hard Thing
Ezekiel 1-4
And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the
word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel:
therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt
surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked
from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his
iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn
not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity;
but thou hast delivered thy soul.
Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit
iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou
hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness
which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at
thine hand. Nevertheless if thou warn
the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall
surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul. Ezekiel 3:16-21
It's always been said that we need to warn the wicked and
tell lost people about the gospel or we're responsible for their spiritual
demise. While we need to be mindful of that, the verses also go on to say the
same thing about warning the righteous about their sin. Are you willing to do
what's right and warn those that are saved if they're going in a wrong
direction or living in sin? If they aren't given the chance to see their wrong
and change their ways, they will die in their sins and his righteousness won't
be remembered and it will be your fault if God tells you to say something to
them. But if you warn them and they change, they will live and you will have
delivered your soul. Are you willing to do what's right, even if it's hard?
