241. God Is Your Tabernacle

Ezekiel 9-12

Son of man, thy brethren, even thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel wholly, are they unto whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Get you far from the LORD: unto us is this land given in possession.     Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.   Ezekiel 11:15-16

God gave Israel over to their enemies because they were pushing others away from God. But even in the midst of their punishment, God promised to be with them and to be a little sanctuary wherever they were. How are you influencing others? Are you the friend/family member that draws others closer to God, or that pushes them further away from God? Does God have to remove you from your comfort zone to get your attention? Does He have to distance you from those you love most so you can learn to love Him more and to draw others to Him? Even in your isolation, God is still there. He is still a sanctuary for you. He wants you to abide in Him, and He in your, and it is then that you can draw others closer to Christ.
