248. God will remember your work for Him and reward you accordingly

Ezekiel 28-30

Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyrus: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was peeled: yet had he no wages, nor his army, for Tyrus, for the service that he had served against it:     Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; behold, I will give the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall take her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army.     I have given him the land of Egypt for his labour wherewith he served against it, because they wrought for me, saith the Lord GOD.         Ezekiel 29:18-20

Your work for the Lord will not go unnoticed by Him. As the Lord made sure that Nebuchadnezzar and his army got paid for what they had done for the Lord, so will you get  rewarded for what you do for Christ. You may not see the rewards right away, or even until you get to heaven, but God promises that He is faithful to remember our work for Him. Your job is to be faithful no matter what and God will reward you in His time.

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you?
