250. The Lord Is A Good Shepherd

Ezekiel 34-36

I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD.     I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick; but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.   Ezekiel 34:15-16

People are people. They do good things, and they make mistakes. They're only human. It's a good thing you have a good Shepherd that will always take care of you. When you’re hungry and tired, He gives you food and causes you to rest. He seeks you and guides you when you are lost. He brings you back to Himself when something or someone drives you away, including yourself. When you have been broken by people or by life, He is the one that binds you up and heals you. When you are sick and you can't take care of yourself, Jesus is right there to give you strength. And those who try and hurt you or lord their strength or position over you in a way that they shouldn't, God is there to take care of them. All you have to do is let Him fight for you and take care of you. Will you go to Him in and for everything?

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
