252. Give God Your Full Attention

Ezekiel 40-42

And the man said unto me, Son of man, behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears, and set thine heart upon all that I shall shew thee; for to the intent that I might shew them unto thee art thou brought hither: declare all that thou seest to the house of Israel.     Ezekiel 40:4

Are you paying attention when reading God's word? Is there something God wants to show you? Are you seeing and hearing what God wants you to see and hear? When God shows you something, is your heart set upon it? Do you apply and live out what you learn? Is there something God wants you to tell or show others? When God speaks, you need to listen and give Him your full attention so that He can speak to and through you as He wants to.

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
