254. Come As You Are But Don’t Leave Like You Came

Ezekiel 46-48

But when the people of the land shall come before the LORD int he solemn feasts, he that entereth in by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he that entereth by the way of the south gate shall go forth by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the gate whereby he came in, but shall go forth over against it.   Ezekiel 46:9

The phrase "Come as you are" is often said when inviting people to come to church. And it is a good motto to have. We should come as we are, but we shouldn't leave like we came. Do you allow God to work in your heart and life? Do you let Him work through the music and the message to soften your heart? To teach and grow you as He desires? Do you let Him prune away the parts that He doesn't want there? Even if it hurts? God wants to mold you into a beautiful masterpiece that He can use for His glory. Do you allow Him to make the changes necessary to make you more like Him?
