255. Keep Your Heart Right With God

Joel 1-3

Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:     And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.     Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?    Joel 2:12-14

When it comes to repenting and making a change, God is more interested in the heart change than the outward change. The outside will change when the inside changes. Where is your emphasis? Are you working so hard to change things on the outside when there are things in your heart that need changing that are fighting against the goals you are trying to achieve? It is when there is a heart change that God takes notice and acts on your behalf. Is there something that you want to ask God to change His mind on? Maybe someone who He has allowed to have cancer or some other disease that you want to see Him heal. You need to make sure your heart is right so that way you can have the ability to ask God to change His mind. Once your heart is right with God, He then can speak to you about the outward changes that need to take place. Is your heart right with God?
