258. Accept Responsibility For Your Sin

Daniel 7-9

As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.     Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.                  Daniel 9:13-14

Why is it so often that the first response to trouble is to blame God? Or at the very least complain to Him and ask Him why? Have you examined your own heart and life? Do you have sin in your life that you have not confessed before God? Do you choose not to turn from your iniquities but rather to make excuses for them? God is watching you and what you do. When you don't obey Him, He has to punish you because He is righteous and just. Will you accept your punishment, repent of your sins, and obey God?
