279. Reap The Harvest That Is Already Ready

John 2-4

Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.     And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.     And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.     I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men labored, and ye are entered into their labours.   John 4:35-38 

It can seem like it's taking forever to be able to reap the harvest of seeds we've planted. To see the souls saved that we've witnessed to. Thinking there's nothing more we can do and that we'll never see the fruit of our labors. But the truth is, there are other people who have felt the same way. There are those that were before you planting seeds that are ready for you to harvest already. You just have to know where to look and allow the Spirit to guide you to the people who you need to talk to. When you feel discouraged, will you just give up? Or will you ask God to continue to guide you to those who are ready to hear and to receive Him? There's plenty to do and a large harvest to reap. Will you trust the Lord of the harvest to lead you where He needs you to be?

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you?
