282. Live Like Jesus Is Your Lord

Matthew 12, Mark 3, Luke 6

But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the thankful and to the evil.     Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.     Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:     Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into you bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.     And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?     Luke 6:35-38,46

If you claim that Jesus is your Lord, do you obey what He tells you to do? Do you demonstrate in your life the commands that He has given? In these verses are just a few things that He asks us to do. Do you love your enemies? Are you willing to lend to those in need without expecting anything in return? It comes with great reward. Are you merciful? Do you choose not to judge and condemn others? If you do judge and condemn, you yourself will be judged and condemned. How is your giving? God promises that if you give, that you will receive above and beyond what you've given. You can claim that Jesus is your Lord but do you live it?
