311. Be A Faithful And Wise Servant

Matthew 24

Who is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them their meat in due season?     Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.   Matthew 24:45-46

What kind of servant are you? Are you faithful and wise? Or foolish and unwise? How well are you stewarding the things and people God has given you to watch over? Everything you own and everyone in your life is a gift of God. Something that God owns but has given you the responsibility of doing with it what is right and what He wants done. Are you taking my responsibilities seriously?

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
