332. Know The Whole Word Of God

Acts 18-19

And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:     For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.   Acts 18:27-28

How well do you know the scriptures? What could you show others? Can you prove that Jesus was Christ? There are so many doctrinal disputes that go on and very little, or out of context scriptures used to back up the stance of those in conversation. There are many false doctrines based of misunderstood or out of context scriptures because as much as we might think we know of God's word, we really don't spend the time in it that we ought. The in-depth study of God's word takes time. Do you really want to know what it says? Do you really want to understand all of what God wants you to? Will you take the time to get to know God and His word on an intimate level?

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you?
