333. Seek Understanding From The Holy Spirit

1 Corinthians 1-4

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:     That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.     But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.     For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.   1 Corinthians 2:4-5,10-11

The Holy Spirit should be the power behind the words that we say. The faith of any person ought to be grounded in the Lord and not in what we say. In order to know what it is that we should say, we need to listen to the Holy Spirit. Is there something you don't understand in the Bible? It is the Holy Spirit that you should ask for understanding. He it is that can reveal the word of God to you, and Him only. We in our own mind and strength cannot understand the things of God but the Holy Spirit can and He will reveal them if we ask. Will you ask the Holy Spirit for understanding as you read the word of God and wisdom to know how to share it with others?

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
