336. Treat Each Church Member Equally

1 Corinthians 12-14

But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.     Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:     And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comliness.     For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:     That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.     And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.   1 Corinthians 12:18,22-26

Often in families there are favorites. Favorite parent, favorite siblings, favorite children, etc. That is also usually the case among church families. But it ought not to be so. When picking favorites, it causes hurt in other church members and causes a schism. Do you love every member of your church equally? God put each person there intentionally as it pleased Him. Not me, Him. If those are the people who it pleases God to be there, you need to treat them as such. Those that seem the least important God says are the most necessary. Do you weep and rejoice with each member throughout the events that happen in their lives? Each person is important to God. Are they just as important to you?
