342. Choose Your Master

Romans 4-7

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?   Romans 6:16

You have two choices of who you’re going to serve. God or Satan. If you serve Satan, you’re yielding yourself to obey him and sin which leads to death. If you choose to obey God, you are yielding yourself to Him and to obedience to Him which brings righteousness. What do you want to reap? Do you want to harvest death or righteousness in your life? What you reap is dependent on who you serve. Who will you choose to serve?

2 Kings 15, 2 Chronicles 26 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah did.     And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.   2 Chronicles 26:4-5 Do you want to prosper? So many people turn to money, jobs, and anything they can to become prosperous. But they also have a different definition of what prospering is. What do you think of as being prosperous? Is being prosperous having plenty of money? Or having lots of things? Is it in having a lot of friends or being held in high esteem by those around you? According to the Strongs Concordance, to prosper is to push forward. And the only reason to be prosperous or push forward is God. What would it take for God to make you prosperous? 314. Jesus Prays For You

Luke 22, John 13 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:   But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.   Luke 22:31-32 As with Peter, so Satan desires to distract and destroy you so that you will be useless for God and eventually deny Him. The temptation is sometimes very great to deny Christ in order to avoid mocking or ridicule, or persecution of any kind. Or just not to be thought of as weird or strange. But, just as Jesus prayed for Peter, so also He prays for us.
