351. Put Your Love Into Action

Philippians 1-4

If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,     Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likemended, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.     Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.     Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.   Philippians 2:1-4

Paul, like he's done many times before, encourages people to love one another. This time though, he gives practical examples of a few ways we can demonstrate that love. He's asking that if there be any consolation in Christ, comfort of love, fellowship of the Spirit, bowels and mercies, any of those things, not those things perfected, then they should follow these things to fulfill Paul's joy. Be likeminded, have the same love, be of one accord and mind, let nothing be done through strife or vain glory but in lowliness of mind esteem others above themselves, and being sure to not just be focused on their own things but on others also. How does your life match up with this list? Are these actions demonstrated in your relationship with others?
