356. Provoke Others To Love And Good Works

Hebrews 7-10

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)     And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:     Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.   Hebrews 10:23-25

Once saved, always saved. It is not what you do or say that saves you but trusting in what Christ has already done that saves you. He promised that He would save and keep us and He is faithful. Because of that, you need to trust Him and not doubt and move forward with what He wants you to do. We should be encouraging each other to love and do good works. One of which is going to church. Especially as the day draws nearer and nearer to Christ's return, we need to be in church more and more. The more the filth of the world increases, the more you need to be cleansed by the word of God. Will you stay faithful to love and do good works and urge others to do the same?

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
