32. Don’t Be A Pharaoh, Seek God Always

Exodus 7-9 

But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said. Exodus 8:15 

Do you treat your response to God like Pharaoh did? When hard times hit, you want God to listen to you and give you reprieve from your problems. But when He answers that prayer, do you continue to praise Him and turn to Him for everything, everyday? Or do you like Pharaoh, harden your heart when the good times come, forget about God, then suddenly need Him when problems come again? There will always be problems in life, but there will also always be God. How sweet the fellowship you could have with Him all the time if you would choose to seek Him in the good as well as in the bad.

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
