33. Obey God Completely
Exodus 10-12
And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto the LORD. And he said unto them, Let the LORD be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you. Not so: go now ye that are men, and serve the LORD; for that ye did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence. And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail hath left. Exodus 10:9-12
After enduring several plagues as God's punishment for Pharaoh not letting God's people go, he gave in...but only partially. He wasn't willing to give up everything to let the people go. He was willing only on his terms. Because of that, God sent the next plague, locusts. When God asks you to do something, do you do it completely? Or are you willing to obey only on your terms? To give up only what you are comfortable with giving up? Will you choose to serve God wholly and completely? Abandoning all of who you are and what you have for God's glory?
