35. Tell Others About God’s Goodness

Exodus 16-18 

And Moses told his father in law all that the LORD had done unto Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel's sake, and all the travail that had come upon them by the way, and how the LORD delivered them.     And Jethro rejoiced for all the goodness which the LORD had done to Israel, whom he had delivered out of the hand of the Egyptians.   Exodus 18:8-9 

When Jethro came to visit Moses, Moses told Jethro of all that God had done for them and to the Egyptians. Jethro rejoiced at Moses' testimony of God's goodness! What do you do when God does something for you? Do you keep it to yourself or do you tell others about what God has done for you? You could encourage someone by telling them about the good things that God has done for you! God does good things for you so that you'll give Him the glory. The best way to do that is to tell others about God's goodness!

72. God Does All Things For Our Good

Deuteronomy 5-7 O that there were such an hear in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, and it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!    Deuteronomy 5:29 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.    Deuteronomy 6:24 God made it clear, and the children of Israel understood that all the commandments that God had given them were for their good and because God loved them. When there are things that God convicts you of, or rules applicable to you from His word, what is your response? Do you understand that He loves you and wants only the best for you? Or do you choose to think He doesn't know what He's doing and wants to keep you from having fun or enjoying life?
