37. Remember Your Promises To God
Exodus 22-24
And Moses came and told the people all the words of the LORD, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the LORD hath said will we do. And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel. Exodus 24:3-4
After Moses told the children of Israel what God said, they all promised to follow and obey God. Moses wrote things down and then they had a sacrifice where the children of Israel once again agreed to obey God's commandments. Then Moses sprinkled them with the blood of the sacrifice which represented the covenant that God made with them. When God asks you to do something and you say that you'll do it, do you keep your promises? Do you remember, or have something to remind you of the commitments you have made to God? When you make a promise to God, you need to remember and fulfill your promise, just as He does His promises to you.
