101. Wait Patiently On The Lord

1 Samuel 13-14

Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the LORD: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering.   And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.   But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.    1 Samuel 13:12-14

In a moment of fear and desperation, Saul disobeyed God and it cost him his kingdom. Sometimes when fear comes, it is hard to trust God and to rest in Him knowing He has all things under control but that is when your trust truly gets put to the test. Will you patiently wait on the Lord instead of giving in to fear and desperation? God is the only one who knows everything all the time and all the details of what's going on. You can trust Him to take care of things in His time, not yours. In the meantime, you need to continue to be faithful with what He has given you to do and to wait patiently on your Savior.
